In this immersion course, you will practice the Forest & Garden Curriculum

among your colleagues and other participants

of the group you’ve curated in your local community and ecosystem.

Forest & Garden is a week-long residency in central Vermont, mostly outdoors, in nature. It is created to nourish and nurture the educator and to provide an embodied and experiential learning experience connected with one another, nature and the cycles of the day through our routines and activities.

The July 2024 Residency is included in the cost of taking both the combined Fall & Spring courses. It can also be taken separately, on its own, if desired.

Scope & Sequence for the week.

When: July 14-18, 2024

  • Sunday 3-9 p.m.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9-4 pm

  • Wednesday 9-9 p.m.

Where: Tunbridge, Vermont.

Description: PreK-9 grade educators join in a cohort for this week-long course offered by The Tea Project. Explore plant habitats and classroom implementations for best practices in plant literacy, mindfulness and nature immersion. Establish practices for cultivating co-regulation with your students to enhance the learning experience. Curriculum based in mindfulness practices, sensory awareness, self-care, perennial herb gardening for tea, plant ID in the forest, field, marsh and garden and herbal recipe-making skills. Course enrollment is limited to create a small, dynamic group. Next Generation Science Standards and Social, Emotional Learning standards are integrated.
